The Department of Health and Social Care has announced £461,000 for the Adult Social Care (ASC) Nurse Prescribing Pilot, to fund nurses to undertake a Nursing and Midwifery Council (NCM) approved prescribing qualification.
This will qualify them to prescribe medicines within their adult social care setting and provides nurses with credits towards the advanced practice Masters. Integrated Care Boards are taking part in this pilot.
