DHSC has opened a stakeholder consultation on the updated Adult Social Care Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) resource, running from 20 April to 20 May 2026. The update brings existing guidance together into a clearer, more practical resource shaped by sector experience, including learning from the COVID‑19 pandemic, and aims to support all adult social care settings. The consultation invites feedback on clarity, usability in real‑world settings, alignment with current practice, and any gaps or support needs.
