A Decade of Support for Charity

Continued Care passed the £40,000 total when two of its team members took part in the Great North Run earlier this month.
For the past decade, the Harrogate-based company has actively supported a range of local and national charities working in health, social and community care.
Among them are the Harrogate Homeless Project (HHP), Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Alzheimer’s Society and Macmillan Cancer Support.
Continued Care’s director Samantha Harrison said:
“We work closely with a range of charities and voluntary groups within the communities we serve and know how vital they are to improving the lives of all of us. They are there for many of the people we care for as well as staff members and their loved ones during difficult times. So we are passionate about raising awareness and funds for the important work that they do.”
The company nominates a Charity of the Year as a focus for its fundraising, and staff are also encouraged to support any organisation of their choice. Since 2015, they have organised and undertaken walks, treks, bike rides, fishing matches, assault courses and other activities.
Samantha, who has taken part in many of the fundraising events, added:
“Thank you to everyone who has helped us reach £40,000 for charity. It is an amazing achievement over a sustained period and shows Continued Care’s commitment, culture and shared values as a team to supporting such wonderful and important causes.”
