NICE consulting on new approach to developing quality standards

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) is consulting on an interim process guide to speed quality standard development over the next 2 years.

The interim process would apply when health and care needs a new or updated quality standard faster than under the current process, an existing quality standard update requires less resources than the full process or to support integrating selected quality standards into guidelines. 

The consultation closes on 15 May 2024.
