Chair & Owner, Right at Home UK
Ken is a Qualified Accountant (FCCA) who, after a successful career with a FTSE Top 30 Company, moved into franchising as a McDonald’s franchisee. As a Multi-Unit McDonald’s Franchisee, Ken won numerous awards for operational excellence including the first McDonald’s Franchisee to win the British Franchise Association Franchisee of the Year. He also won the Golden Arches Award for top 30 McDonald’s Franchisees in the World and is the only person ever to win both BFA Franchisee and Franchisor of the year. Looking for a business that made a difference, Ken sold his McDonald’s stores and purchased a care home. His combination of care and franchising led him to set up Right at Home UK in 2010, now a multi-award-winning homecare franchisor. Ken was CEO up until 2022 when he passed the CEO role to Lucy Campbell and moved to Chair. Right at Home UK has almost 90 offices across the UK (and growing) and is most proud of it’s quality ratings, including over 30% of its offices being rated overall Outstanding.
