Plans for Scotland to be a Fair Work Nation by 2025

The Scottish Government has launched a consultation on Scotland becoming a Fair Work Nation by 2025, as envisaged in the Fair Work Convention.

Respondents are invited to share views on action to achieve the vision, and who needs to lead it, considering the challenges and opportunities in their sector and workplace, and say what additional levers and measures are required. The results will lead to an update of labour market action plans.

The Fair Work Nation vision includes giving a more effective voice to workers in sectors like social care, and continuing to work with the sector on fair work practice in line with recommendations from the Independent Review of Adult Social Care, the Fair Work Convention’s report on Fair Work in Scotland’s Social Care Sector, and in creating a National Care Service.

Read the consultation, which closes on 23 December 2021.
