Government publishes plans to reform human rights legislation

The Government has launched a consultation on reforming the Human Rights Act 1998 in the UK, and replacing it with a Bill of Rights.  The aim is to 'restore a proper balance between the rights of individuals, personal responsibility and the wider public interest'.
