The Government is inviting people with Down’s syndrome, families, professionals and charities to share their experiences and expertise to shape new Down Syndrome Act guidance for authorities to follow.

With life expectancy increasing from 13 to almost 60 within a generation, services are needed to support the more than 40,000 people with Down’s syndrome and their families.

The aim is for the guidance to help ensure those with Down’s syndrome in England receive the care and support they need to live longer, happier and healthier lives.
