From 4am 4 October 2021, the rules for international travel to England will change from the current traffic light system to a single, reduced red list of countries and simplified travel measures for arrivals.

The rules for travel from countries not on the red list will depend on vaccination status.

PCR tests will not be needed for fully vaccinated travellers returning to England.

People who are double-jabbed will not need to take a pre-departure test before leaving any non-red list country and later in October, will be able to take a rapid lateral flow test instead of the day two PCR test.
